Join us for a webinar on nutrition literacy!
Evidence-based nutrition resources are widely available, yet identifying and selecting the right resource for the right condition can be challenging. This webinar introduces a practical, interprofessional approach to advancing evidence-based nutrition literacy by helping healthcare professionals identify, evaluate, select, and reinforce trusted nutrition resources that align with patients' clinical needs, literacy levels, readiness to change, and learning preferences.
Participants will explore:
- Where to find credible, evidence-based nutrition resources
- How to tailor nutrition education using health literacy, patient-centered communication, and coaching strategies
- How to assess readiness and barriers to learning
- How to reinforce clinical recommendations while recognizing when referral to registered dietitian nutritionists or other healthcare professionals is appropriate
