Do you have one hour a month to help HCEA grow and improve? The Certification Committee is exploring options for achieving a nationally-recognized certification for patient and family education. HCEA believes that effective patient and family education is a unique body of knowledge. The cornerstone of patient-centered care supports national health care quality goals. A certification will recognize professionals who have achieved excellence in the field of patient education.
The Certification Committee is exploring options for achieving a nationally-recognized certification for patient and family education. This will not only increase the prominence of patient education as specialty but will help to recruit and retain new and existing HCEA members.
